What does the work entail?

The role is a part-time, self-employed, flexible job enabling you to decide when you work and what you do.
You get to choose the services you provide, how often you provide them, where you work and what pets you look after.
Prior to every booking we gather as much information about the owner’s requirements and their pet as possible before contacting you to see if you can help us.
You will get the opportunity to meet every client and pet before confirming that you wish to carry out the booking.
Once you are carrying out the bookings for us, we do not supervise you during the work however we are here to support and help you should you have any worries or need any help.

Dog Walking Jobs

This is where you go to the dog’s house and take the dog for a walk. If you wish to provide this service you should:-

  • Be able to drive and have access to your own transport.
  • Be available at lunchtimes on weekdays (this is when most of our client’s require dog walks although walking jobs are likely to be available at other times too)
  • Enjoy dog walking and spending time with a different dogs!
  • Be comfortable with using email to communicate and using basic internet tools

With the introduction of The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals)(England) Regulations 2018 if you would like to offer some occasional dog boarding but are ‘out of scope’ to be covered by your own license you are able to be covered by our boarding licenses. If you want to do more dog boarding for us we will help you get your own boarding license to be an ‘inscope’ host with us. We hold a license with the council in each Local Authority that we offer home boarding or day care in. In Wales we will set you up with your own dog boarding license in accordance with the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963. This is applicable if you want to provide day and/ or overnight dog boarding in your home. This job is really suited to someone who works from home or is retired or semi-retired and wants some extra companionship of a dog without committing to having one fulltime. You should…
